The D-Link DGS-1024D provides a simple and reliable way to expand wired network capacity in offices, retail locations, computer shops and other small-to-medium business environments. Its 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports support network speeds of 10, 100 and 1000Mbps, allowing computers, servers, printers, network storage and other Ethernet devices to communicate at high speed.
As an unmanaged switch, the DGS-1024D requires no software configuration. Simply connect the network devices and the switch automatically handles link-speed negotiation and cable-type detection through Auto MDI/MDIX. Its non-blocking switching architecture offers a 48Gbps switching capacity and a maximum forwarding rate of 35.712 million packets per second. dlink.com
The switch supports IEEE 802.1p Quality of Service with four queues per port, helping prioritize delay-sensitive traffic such as voice and video. IEEE 802.3x flow control improves reliable data transmission, while an 8K MAC address table supports networks containing numerous connected devices. Its fanless design enables quiet operation, while the metal enclosure can be placed on a desktop or installed in a standard 19-inch equipment rack using the included brackets.
